Ghost CHK employees perturbed

KARACHI: The strict orders for the doctors and paramedics to ensure time punctuality in Civil Hospital Karachi by the hospital administration has created unrest among the ghost employees.

Sources in the hospital said on Sunday that no doctor or paramedic was allowed to sign the muster roll after 8:30 am. However, they were permitted to sign in another attendance register so that number of late-comers and absentees could be ascertained.

This practice was introduced after complaints that doctors and paramedics were in habit to leave the hospital after signing the register. This step has improved the attemdance but not the efficiency of the doctors and others, it added.

If practice of rechecking the attendance of the staff is taken after lunch break, it would curb the malpractices of the ghost staff, it claimed.-PPI
