Ghani made Smith & Nephew's GM for S Asia

KARACHI: Smith & Nephew, the global healthcare company's Regional office in Singapore, has announced the appointment of Rehman Ghani as director/general manager for South Asia.

Ghani in his new role will be looking after Smith & Nephew business interest in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and some of the Central Asian states.

Smith & Nephew has manufacturing facilities in India and Pakistan with trading companies in rest of the South Asian countries.

47 years old Ghani is a US citizen and has a BA from F.C. College, Lahore and a Masters degree in Business from Northrop University in Los Angles, California. He has over 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing and sales, with multinational companies like Sandoz and Sterling Winthrop. His present position is Country Manager for Smith & Nephew Pakistan (Pvt) Limited.
