DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police at checkpost Triman, Tehsil Taunsa arrested six drivers after recovering from their trucks a total of 905 wheat flour bags being smuggled from Sargodha Flour Mills to the NWFP.

The arrested drivers are Mohammad Siddiq, Noor Khan, Havaldar Khan, Mir Laman, Jahanzeb and Sher Khan.

At Bewata checkpost, district DG Khan police recovered 45 wheat bags from truck No. 2085-QAS, being carried from Punjab to Balochistan, while another driver Baluch Khan escaped with his cargo on truck No. 9043 LIT to the Balochistan area.

Police have registered cases under E/6 Foodstuffs Control Act and are investigating.ÑAPP
