22 judges take oath in Sindh
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Mr. Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqi and 18 other judges took oath under the Provisional Constitution Order at a simple ceremony at the Governor House on Wednesday, while three judges stayed away. They were Mr Justice Ghous Mohammed, Mr. Justice Mushtaq Memon and Mr. Justice Rasheed Rizvi.
Sindh Governor Azeem Doudpota administered the oath to the Chief Justice who then administered oath to other judges.
The judges who took oath were Mr. Justice Syed Deedar Hussain Shah, Mr. Justice Amanullah Abbasi, Mr. Justice Hamid Ali Mirza, Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Mr. Justice Syed Saeed Asghar, Mr. justice Abdul Ghani Shaikh, Mr. Justice Mohammed Roshan Esani, Mr. Justice S. A. Sarwar, Mr. Justice Zahid Qurban Alvi, Mr. Justice Shabir Ahmed, Mr. Justice Ata-ur-Rehman, Mr. Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Mr. Justice Sarwar Jalal Usmani, Mr. Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali, Mr. Justice S. A. Rabbani, Mr. Justice M. Ashraf Leghari, Mr. Justice Wahid Bux Brohi, and Mr. Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed.
Three other judges, who were out of town, later reached the High Court and were administered oath by the Chief Justice. They were Mr. Justice Rana Bhagwandas , Mr. Justice Ghulam Nabi Soomro, and Mr. Justice Musheer Alam.
