RECORDER REPORT

SUKKUR: Taking a serious note of artificial shortage of flour in the district, the District Food Controller of Sukkur, Jan Mohammad Khoso, visited differennt markets and met the wholesalers and shopkeepers and warned them to desist from the practice of hoarding flour and raising the prices.

He warned them to sell the flour at fixed rate and also to display the rate lists issued by government at their shops, failing which the law will take its own course.

He also issued directives to all the food inspectors to keep a check over the markets so that the prices may not be raised.

He also directed to see that wheat and flour is not smuggled out of the district. He said any report received in this connection the food inspectors concerned would be held responsible and action taken accordingly.
