'Computer literacy must to achieve modernisation'

KARACHI: Commodore Syed Tayyab Naqvi, Chairman, Karachi Fisheries Harbour Authority (KFHA), said on Tuesday that teaching and training in computer sciences is necessary to achieve modernisation in the new millennium.

He was addressing participants of a computer training course held for the officials of the KFHA and Fishermen's Cooperative Society. He also distributed certificates among participants.

Naqvi highlighted the importance of ISO-9000 standard and asked the trainers to organise training programmes to introduce the basic concept necessity of ISO 9000. He said our officers must know about it and strive to achieve the standard.
