Japanese theatre for children from Feb 3rd
KARACHI: The Japan Cultural Centre, Consulate General of Japan, Karachi will hold the performances and workshops by the famous children theatre of Japan, Kaz-e-No-Ko, on February 3 and February 4 consecutively here at the Aga Khan University Hospital Gymnasium.
The theatre has been dispatched to Pakistan by the Japan Foundation, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan with an objective to strengthen mutual cultural understanding between the people of Japan and Pakistan.
The theatre Kaze-No-Ko established in 1950 has been developing plays for five decades. They are considered to be one of the best children theatre companies in Japan. The troupe devotes itself to developing children's imaginative power and creativity to enhance their ability to express their thoughts as they grow.
By turning themselves heart and soul into children, the Kaz-e-No-Ko-players are free from the conventional rules that normally govern the theatre and society. The world acclaimed group has been invited to international children's theatre festivals throughout the world and have been overwhelmingly received by both children and adults as well. APP
