Complains against police can be lodge through FM-101
KARACHI: The Inspector General of Sindh Police Aftab Nabi, has said that people can lodge complains against police excesses through radio "FM-101."
According to police sources here on Sunday, the IGP has also stressed the need of creating friendly relations between police and the general public so that both should come closer to each other.
He said that he invites all the citizen that if they become target of police excesses they should lodge their complain through radio FM-101.
The Sindh Police chief said that for the redressal of public complains, the police officials listen to their grievances directly on every Sunday between 1400 hours to 1500 hours on radio FM-101.
These officials, issue directives for immediate redressal of the general public's grievances, he added.
Aftab Nabi further said that if these officials feel necessary, the complainant has been invited to the office for prompt redressal of the same.
The DIG Crime, while replying to a complain said "we can get rid of terrorism and subversive activities only when the police and people work together."
He on the office appealed to the people that if they found any suspicious item they should immediately report about the same to police on telephone number 15.
The DIG Crime said that timely action in this regard can protect precious lives and properties.
He said that formation of Mohallah Committees aimed at establishment of close liaison between police and people at Thana level and to get rid of dacoity, terrorism and extortion.
He said that police will cooperate with Mohalla Committees to make it more effective. APP
