Jabbar to inaugurate telecom 2000 moot on 26th

LAHORE: Javed Jabbar, Advisor to the Chief Executive, would inaugurate a two-day international conference and exhibition in telecommunication, commencing on January 26, 2000, at a local hotel here.

The objective of the event is to pool expertise and deliberate on the current and future challenges in telecommunication on the advent of the new millennium, said a press release on Sunday.

The moot is being jointly organised by The Development Times, Institute of Telecommunication Engineers of Pakistan (INSTEP) Lahore center and Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Pakistan.

The four technical sessions of the event would be chaired by Mian Mohammad Javed, Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Akthar Bajwa, Member (Operation) PTCL, Malik M. Amin, Member Technical, and Maj-Gen Hamid Hassan Butt (Retd), Member PTA.

An exhibition will also be held on the occasion.
