Army Aviation Command to assist CBR

ISLAMABAD: The Army Aviation Command (AAC) has been assigned the task to assist the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) to curb revenue slippage through monitoring, it is learnt.
In this connection the Chief Executive Secretariat has instructed the AAC to assist the CBR by monitoring corruption and curbing leakage of revenue.
The directive is a part of Chief Executive's strategy to put the economy back on track.
The board has directed to its collectorates all over the country to provide wholehearted assistance to the AAC.
The Federal Monitoring and Coordination Secretariat (FMCS) has also informed the Chief Executive Secretariat and all corps headquarters regarding set-up of headquarters the AAC.
The letter of Federal Monitoring and Coordination Secretariat director, to the CBR reads, "Judicious and enhanced collection of revenue will greatly contribute towards restoring the economy. The CBR is already taking concrete steps for the purpose especially in controlling the revenue slippage as well as plugging the leakages. A need was, therefore, felt to have a dedicated headquarters to monitor and assist the CBR in achievement of laid down procedure and revenue target. Thus, the AAC has been assigned the responsibility of assisting the CBR and its affiliated and subsidiary departments through monitoring. The CBR is requested to render wholehearted assistance to the Army Aviation Command in the monitoring process."
