10 killed in head on collision

SUKKUR: Ten persons were killed, 50 others injured in a road accident on National Highway near Kandiaro on Thursday night.

According to report, a passenger bus of Faiz Bus Service No. EA-00100 was on way to Karachi from Sukkur, when the bus reached near Farooq Petrol Pump, Kandiaro collided head on with a coach of Macca Coach Service as a result, 10 passengers of both the buses were killed, and 50 others were injured.

The Deputy Commissioner Nausheroferoze and SSP alongwith volunteers reached at the site and recovered 10 bodies from the buses and sent to Kandiaro hospital.

Ambulances and vans were called and all the injured were immediately removed to Kandiaro hospital.

According to police sources out of 10 dead only four were identified they were Hakim Dhari, Wazir Kalhoro, Nadia Sheikh and a police constable whose name was not ascertained, his belt No. was 2107.

Hospital sources claiming 15 injured were serious and shifted to Nawabshah PMC and Nausheroferoze hospital. APP
