Importers oppose raise in drug registration fee

KARACHI: Pharmaceutical importers have opposed the increase in various fees for registration or renewal of registration of imported products.

A group of pharmaceutical importers maintained here on Saturday that this decision was probably made in a haste and the government did not consult with the affected importers.

They said that this unilateral decision will create problems for importers as well as increase prices of imported medicines in the market.

They urged the government to reconsider the decision and invite all concerned parties before taking such unilateral decisions. APP
