20000102JASWANT'S STATEMENT
Reuters ads from New Delhi: Indian Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh said on Saturday that the five hijackers of an Indian Airlines plane and three freed guerrillas had left the southern Afghan city of Kandahar and were heading for Quetta in Pakistan.
"It is clear that the terrorists and the hijackers are going to Quetta. I have here with me a statement from the Taliban information minister that all five hijackers along with three guerrillas have left for Quetta. They left Kandahar last night," Singh told reporters at a news conference.
