LAHORE: Khwaja Hamad Saeed, who was elected as the Chairman of the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on December 4 last, assumed the office at a ceremony held at bourse' premises here Saturday.

Addressing the members of the LSE board of directors on this occasion, he said that with the help of collective wisdom and efforts, the LSE would become leader in the national capital market.

He said that every possible effort should be made for the betterment of this second major bourse of the country.

The LSE Board of Directors assured its full cooperation to the chairman.

Meanwhile, the inaugural meeting of the board of directors took a number of decisions including authorisation of expenditure of the specific limit, signatories of LSE cheques and bank lockers, formation of arbitration, membership, defaulters and investors complaints and settlement committees.

The board also decided the nomination of directors on the Board of Directors of Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) and Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA).ÑAPP
