to solve Y2K
problems
ISLAMABAD: The Department of Auditor General has a vast network of Y2K compliant computers which are installed at major stations.
Salaries for the month of December 1999 have been processed successfully and cheques have been delivered to concerned quarters, says a press release.
However, to tackle any Y2K emergency, Auditor General's Office established Control Center which worked round the clock from December 28, 1999 to January 1, 2000 to monitor computer operations during the century roll.
All the networks, systems and stand alone PCs are working in perfect condition and no technical glitches have been encountered.
The Control Center also provided information to general public for solution to Y2K issues, the release added.ÑAPP
