Add walk

ISLAMABAD: Poets, Writers, Journalists and artists of Pakistan, on Saturday, the first day of the new millennium, organised here a walk aimed at protecting the cause of children.

The walk started from the Parliament House and ended at Saudi Pak Tower where the office-bearers of "Izhar", an organisation of artists, presented a memorandum to the UN representative in Pakistan.

Participants of the walk were carrying placards and banners written with slogans to protect children from all kinds of abuses.

They also handed over a memorandum at the Chief Executive Secretariat urging the authorities to initiate measures for protecting children from all sorts of advances.-APP
