Additional charge

ISLAMABAD: Dr Athar Saeed Dil, Joint Executive Director, National Institute of Health (NIH) has taken over the additional charge of Administrative Director of the Institute.

Dr Athar has been appointed acting Executive Director of the NIH on the expiry of contract of Lt Gen Mohammad Saleem (Retd).

Dr Athar has been working in various scientific and administrative capacities in NIH Public Health Division since 1976.

He also worked as NIH Executive Director during the absence of the executive director since 1992.

He got his MBBS degree from Khyber Medical College and did M Phil in pathology from Jinnah Post-graduate Medical University Karachi in 1975.

He also got laboratories management training from Egypt and Atlanta Georgia University, USA.

He worked as pathologist in the hospital of Riyadh, Saudi, Arabia for seven years and has also written 39 research papers on national and international health seminars and workshops.ÑAPP
