60 arrested so far for accountability, says Moin
KARACHI: Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Moin Uddin Haider (Retd) has said that there is no let-up in the accountability process and so far 60 people have been arrested.
Talking to newsmen at the Car Raffle draw ceremony at Jinnah Terminal of Quaid-e-Azam International Airport here on Tuesday, the minister said he had held talks with the chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in Islamabad on Monday and discussed the progress of accountability process.
He said the government lacks efficient and honest manpower in FIA and other agencies. However all efforts are being made to hire honest and dedicated officials. The government is looking into various aspects to remove administrative problems in this regard.
"We are planning to set up full fledged offices of NAB at provincial level to further speed up the process of accountability", Moin said. APP
