Governor grieved over loss of lives in bomb explosion

KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Air Marshal Azim Daudpota (Rtd), has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the loss of lives of innocent people in a time bomb explosion.

The Governor late Monday evening visited the scene of time bomb explosion and later Civil Hospital Karachi where he inquired about the welfare of injured and issued instructions to hospital authorities to take maximum care of them.

Talking to newsmen on the occasion, the Governor described the bomb explosion a heinous act of barbarism and said it deserve every condemnation.

The Governor expressed the resolve that the government and people together would thwart the sinister designs of terrorists.

On the occasion he announced a compensation of Rs one lakh for those killed in the incident and Rs 50,000 each for the injured.

He ordered free medical treatment for the injured and said all hospital expenses will be borne by the government.

Air Marshal appreciated the efforts made by the hospital staff for paying attention on the injured and described the blood donations given by people as well as relief work carried out by them as highly appreciable.

The Governor while condoling with the bereaved families of blast victims prayed to Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant fortitude to bereaved families to bear the loss.

He directed the hospital management that he should be kept informed about the welfare of the patients.

Also present on the occasion were Sindh Chief Secretary, IG Police and Commissioner Karachi besides other senior administration and police officers.ÑAPP
