Eight dead, 14 hurt in bomb explosion

KARACHI: Atleast eight people were killed and 14 injured when a pole mounted transformer and a bomb placed under a cabin of sugarcane crushing machine under the same pole in front of Arambagh Mosque exploded at the same time.

According to Police and Edhi sources three adjoining shops were completely destroyed in the twin explosion.

The dead and the injured were rushed to nearby Civil Hospital where a state of emergency was declared to deal with the situation.
