CPP asks America, UK to take lead by signing CTBT
RECORDER REPORT
HYDERABAD: Communist Party of Pakistan has called upon America and UK to take lead by signing on the CTBT and NPT and ratify these treaties before asking the other countries to sign these treaties.
In a policy statement issued here on Monday, a member of the Central Secretariat and secretary Sindh Chapter of the party Imdad Kazi said that these two countries should also clear their godowns and destroy all the nuclear weapons before giving a sermon of peace to the world.
He said if America and UK did this, all the countries of the world will follow the suit.
He said these two countries were responsible for building a war hysteria between Pakistan and India and added that both Pakistan and India should sign on the non-proliferation treaties in presence of the SAARC countries.
He said that the pressure on Pakistan by America and UK was tantamount to giving dictation to Pakistan.
Kazi claimed that the Communist Party of Pakistan as well as all the communist movements throughout the world had always remained the messangers of peace and they had always opposed nuclear tests by the former Soviet Union and America.
