Marri case: Four cops' arrest ordered

QUETTA: Orders have been issued for the arrest of four policemen of security squad of late Justice Mohammad Nawaz Marri.

These policemen have been placed under suspension since the assassination of Justice Marri. The administration also ordered an inquiry against them for negligence in duty.

Meanwhile, according to another notification, orders have also been issued for suspending two officials of Bijli Road police station, DSP Muhammad Yaqub and SHO Tabarak Shah.

They were charged with negligence in duty, as three major incidents took place in the jurisdiction of the Bijli Road police station, including an attack on former provincial minister Sardar Nisar Ali Hazara, ambush and murder of Justice Mohammad Nawaz Marri and abduction of a businessman Hidayatullah.

An inquiry was ordered against both the officials, the notification added.-PPI
