FMA president

KARACHI: Khalid Jamil, treasurer of the Credit Agricole Indosuez and Nasim Akbar of the Mashreq Bank were on Saturday, elected president and general secretary respectively, of the Financial Market Association of Pakistan (FMA) for the year 2000, says a press release.

Khalid Jamil won comfortably by securing 128 votes against his rival Risha Moinuddin, treasurer of CitiBank who could bag 58 votes only.

The FMA office bearers are as follows:

President: Khalid Jamil (Credit Agricole Indosuez) General Secretary: Nasim Akbar (Mashreq Bank) Asstt Secretary: Mohammad Khalid (National Bank of Pakistan) Treasurer: Asad Qureshi (American Express Bank).

Executive members: Murad (Muslim Commercial Bank), Ahmer Hassan (Deutsche Bank), Abdullah (Bank of America), Noman (United Bank Ltd), and Asif Qasim (Metropolitan Bank).ÑPR
