HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Merchants and Commission agents Group has appealed to the Hyderabad divisional commissioner to assess the damage caused to them due to fire and compensate the victims.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the Group President, Rashid Arain, General Secretary Mohammad Saleem and senior group members Sufi Abdul Karim and Haji Nazeer Demanded that people who have occupied the market illegally and are a source of nuisance to the genuine traders should be thrown out.

They held the illegal occupants responsible for the fire.

They, however, thanked the Hyderabad administration and the Rangers for their timely help, which helped minimise the losses to a very great extent.
