12 more check-posts to be set up along Pak-Afghan border

PESHAWAR: The NWFP government has identified another 12 areas to set up check-posts along Pak-Afghan border in a bid to check flow of smuggled goods into Pakistan.
The Pakistan government has termed the smuggling of foreign goods into Pakistan as harmful to the country's ecnomy. That is why, the government has now intensfied monitoring of the border.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan's Radio Shariat has claimed that the United States has exerted pressure on Pakistan to check wheat and food supplies to Afghanistan but Food and Agriculture Minister, Shafqat Ali Khan Jamote has said that wheat supply to Afghanistan has caused flour shortage in some areas of the country.-PPI
