Sharifs issued final notice to submit building plans

LAHORE: Army monitoring team on Saturday issued final notice to the Sharif family to immediately submit building plans of their residence at Jati Umra on Raiwind Road.

The Sharif family had constructed a building for their residence at Jati Umra on Raiwind Road without seeking approval of the Lahore district council. Following dismissal of Nawaz Sharif government, the district council had issued a notice to the Sharif family to submit a building plan, failing which the case will be dealt in accordance with the the law.

On receipt of the notice, the legal adviser of the Sharif family had contended that the requisite building plan could not be submitted because of Nawaz Sharif and other family members' detention.

He had requested the authorities to extend the date for the submission of plan. As a result, a grace period up to January 15, 2000, was granted to the family. But no building plan was submitted uptil now.

The Army monitoring team and the administration of the district council, therefore, issued final notice directing the family to submit the building plan immediately.
