Indian ban on Pakistani cotton import flayed

LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce (LCCI) President Ilyas M. Chaudhry has strongly condemned Indian ban on import of Pakistani cotton, and has urged the government to take action to counter New Delhi's mala fide intent to malign Pakistani bumper crop in the international market.

In a Press statement on Saturday, LCCI president said, "Mala fide intent on the part of the Indians is evident."

He said that India now had waged a "trade war with Pakistan" and thus should be punished for this "mischievous move".

"Pakistan should give a befitting reply to the Indian government by banning all imports from New Delhi," he demanded.
