meet on 24th

in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Task Force on Labour Levies will be held in the provincial metropolis on January 24 and 25 next with a four-point agenda.

The task force will meet the representatives of the provincial government, employers' and workers' organisations to discuss the functioning of multiple levy collecting departments and agencies, identification of difficulties confronted by the employers on account of multiple levy collecting agencies, consideration of the proposal for one window collection of all the labour welfare levies and discussion on the possibility of enacting a single law for "one-window collection" of all the levies and contributions from the employers.

Justice Muhammad Afzal Lone (Retd), who is the chairman of the Task Force on Labour Levies, will chair the meeting. A prominent industrialist of NWFP, Muhammad Unis Elahi, is the member of the task force.ÑAPP
