LAHORE: Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) will organise a seminar on Processed Food Industry at a local hotel on 14. President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Fazalur Rehman Dittu will be chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Representatives of manufacturers, traders and exporters of food items from all over the country will attend the seminar. "The discussion will enable the government as well as the private sector to initiate a joint policy stance to minimise hurdles and increase efficiency of food sector on production, and export fronts," said a senior EPB official.ÑAPP

KARACHI: Karachi University plans to hold a seminar on Kashmir, vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Zafar H. Zaidi said here on Tuesday. He said the moot is aimed at highlighting the Kashmir issue and apprising the students about it.ÑAPP

Travel agency looted

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a day light dacoity four unidentified gunmen looted Rizwan Air Service, a local travel agency after holding the entire at gun point and by sprinkling red chillies on their eyes and fled away with cash and other valuables, leaving the local business community in a state of shock. According to details, four unidentified dacoits armed with sophisticated weapons entered into Rizwan Air Service located in the busiest Kashmir Chowk here at 3.30 p.m. and held the entire staff at gun point. Besides cash, wrist watches and gold ornaments, they also took the gun from the security guard and fled away.ÑPPI

Surgeons team to visit Pakistan

KARACHI: A delegation of Royal College of Physicians, London will visit Pakistan of Health, Professor S. M. Rab on the request of Minister from February 17 to 19. The six-member delegation headed by principal of the college, John History will deliver lectures in different medical institutions of the city including Dow Medical College, Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Aga Khan Medical College, Zia-ud-Din Medical College and College of Physicians and Surgeons, Karachi. A meeting will also be held in College of Physicians and Surgeons to enhance literary and financial cooperation between the two institutions. The Governor of Sindh Air Marshal Azim Daudpota (Retd) will also host a dinner in the honour of the visitors at Governor's House.ÑPPI
