KARACHI: The Sindh Chief Secretary Mohammad Zubair Kidwai has ordered an immediate inquiry into the state of affairs at the Civil Hospital as reported in a section of press.

The contents of the news item indicated that the salaries were being disbursed to ghost employees as the number of employees shown are more than the sanctioned strength.

The news item also pointed out that normal fee received from out-door patients under various heads was not being properly deposited into the government account as required under the rules and regulations.

Similarly, service of a qualified dietician is also not available in the hospital and junior clerk has been deputed for the purpose which is very harmful for the health of the patients, the news item further indicated.

The chief secretary, taking serious notice of the contents of the news item, has directed the health secretary for submitting a detailed report immediately.ÑPPI
