Allottees asked

to take possession

of industrial plots

LAHORE: The Punjab Small Industries Corporation has directed its successful allottees to take possession of their industrial plots for setting up the proposed ventures and industrial units.

PSIC Managing Director Ch. Ghulam Rasool told APP here on Tuesday that development and civil works at the Small Industrial Estate, Kasur have been completed, including electrification and provision of digitalised telecommunication network.

He said that PSIC will also help extend credit facility to bonafide interested allottees for the construction of building and purchase of machinery for the projects.

Credit ceiling up to Rs. 750,000 can be recommended against adequate security, he said, adding that desirous allottees were advised to contact the deputy director, SIE, Kasur, or the regional office at 32-Empress Road, Lahore for further information and procedure for availing credit facility.

The MD disclosed that 17 plots of different sizes have also been earmarked for provision of utility services. He said that the entire estate spread over an area of 80 acres land comprises a total of 321 plots which includes 87 plots of two kanal, 155 plots of one kanal and 62 plots of 10 marlas.

He said that the establishment of the small industrial estate on no-profit no-loss was a long standing demand of the business community of this district, and will especially benefit small business enterprises of the area.

It may be mentioned that the plots were allotted in December 1998 through computerised ballot in the presence of applicants and senior PSIC officers.ÑAPP
