FAISALABAD: A 10-member trade delegation of Pakistan exporters is proceeding to Kenya, Mauritius and South Africa on a 12-day long business tour on February 12.

The tour has been jointly sponsored by Export Promotion Bureau Pakistan (EPB) and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), while the delegation would be led by renowned industrialist and business leader, G R Arshad, who hails from Karachi.

The members of the delegation, during the course of their stay in these countries would explore the prospect of expansion of bilateral trade, export promotion and installation of joint ventures.

The leader of the delegation, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Rauf Textile & Printing Mills (Pvt) Ltd., G R Arshad, Chairman All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA), life member FPCCI, former president Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Honorary Consul Gen of Democratic Republic of Somalia in Pakistan. Four other members of the delegation besides G R Arshad, are associated with textile industry which is undoubtedly the leading export sector of Pakistan while the remaining members are connected with other trade.

The delegation would, hopefully, be assisted by a senior director of EPB from Karachi.
