1,500 to 2,000 from CBR to be axed this week

ISLAMABAD: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) is set to start rightsizing in the direct taxes wings within this week, an official source said on Monday.
The Board is expected to reduce the strength of direct taxes wings by 1500 to 2000.
The CBR has already rightsized the indirect taxes wings by abolishing 1000 posts from grade 1 to 22.
