KARACHI: The Pakistan Commercial Exporters of Towels Association (PCETA) has welcomed the appointment of Mirza Qamar Baig as Commerce Secretary and said that he possessed adequate knowledge of the multifarious problems and issues related to exports as he had served as vice chairman of Export Promotion Bureau in the past.

Jamil-ur-Rehman Hurani, vice chairman of PCETA in a statement has expressed the hope that the appointment of Baig as head of the Commerce Ministry would augur well for the development of national exports.

"We hope that Baig would as usual associate export trade in the formulation of future trade policies and regulations", he concluded.
