India perpetuating
terrorism in occupied
Kashmir: JJ
ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Chief Executive on National Affairs, Information and Media Development, Javed Jabbar on Saturday said the killing of innocents people in occupied Kashmir de-legitimise the Indian claims of being peaceful or democratic country in South Asia.
Addressing a walk organised in connection with Solidarity Day here, Javed Jabbar said India has turned into a fascist state in the region by perpetuating terrorism in occupied Kashmir.
He also reiterated the government resolve to eliminate corruption and other evils from the society to make the country more powerful as strong Pakistan can help liberate Kashmiris from Indian clutches.
He said the attempts of the Indian army to subjugate and terrorise the innocent Kashmiris negate its claims of being a democratic state.
He said the continued suppression in the occupied Kashmir is the reflection of hegemonic designs of the Indian government.
He also urged the international community for resolution of Kashmir issue, which has been lingering on the UN Security Council agenda for the last 52 years.
He said they must differentiate between the just struggle for the right self-determination and the state terrorism.
He said the occupied Kashmir should be seen in terms of humanitarian problems, for its proper solution.
Jabbar regretted over India's forced attempts to integrate the occupied Kashmir in its politics, saying it is a clear violation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
These attempt which are meant to change the special status of Kashmir are not only the violations of the UN resolutions but also show the Indian expansionist designs, he added.
He said there is largest concentration of military troops in the occupied Kashmir, just to curb the voice of freedom in the occupied territory. The world community, he said must take notice of it, to fulfil its responsibility.
A large number of leaders from various political parties also reflected the deep rooted concern of the world community for Kashmir.
Amongst the leading participants were, Mir Tahir Masood (APHC), Mohammad Alam (TJP), Maulana Abdul Majid, Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat, Ghulam Mohammad Raza Naqvi (TJP) etc.
