Doctors asked to
motivate people
for acquiring
health education

HYDERABAD: The assistant director, health service army, 18 division 73 medical battalion Hyderabad, Col. Allah Bux Rang, has stressed upon doctors to motivate people for acquiring health education to effectively control the diseases.
He was talking to doctors and other notables of the area at a two-day free medical camp jointly organised by army doctors and district health officer in Chamber Rural Health Centre on Friday.
Col. Allah Bux said that the object of holding this camp was to survey the nature of diseases effecting the people of the area and to see what army could do to provide better health facilities to poor people. He said that such camps will also be established at different talukas of Hyderabad district.
Later, he visited various sections of camp and talked to the patients and doctors about facilities and treatment being given to them. During his visit of laboratory, he was informed that microscope which was not functional had been repaired by army personnel and it was now in working order.
He directed army officials to ensure that all equipments in health centre were made functional and technical staff was provided training and also sent for refresher course.
During his visit of ultrasound section, he was surprised to witness that there was no lady doctor in the rural health centre of chamber.
He also visited the section which was imparting health education to large number of women in child nutrition. He also visited ENT, cardiology, skin sections and lauded the efforts of doctors and specialists for treating such a large number of patients.
On this occasion, DHO Dr Nazar Mohammad Junejo, Major Shuaib Nazir, MS Chamber, RHC Dr Abdul Karim Baladi and SDM Taluka Tando Allahyar Sajjad Hyder were present. A large number of male, female patients came in the camp for treatment.
