Body to collect data of pharma importers

KARACHI: The Pakistan Pharmaceutical Importers Association has formed a committee in Karachi to collect complete data about imports made duties and taxes paid by the member companies of the association, a statement issued by the association said.

A meeting of the association was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Syed Ilias Rizvi recently.

The meeting was attended by 20 member companies' representatives.

It was decided to hold a meeting with the Director General Health, Government of Pakistan, to apprise him of the problems and to develop a regular liaison with the Ministry of Health.

The member companies were providing latest research products of high quality in the life saving segment of the medicines in Pakistan with prices much lower than the multinationals' it was claimed.
