AJK govt demands Clinton visit occupied Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday demanded of the US president Bill Clinton to visit occupied Kashmir during his visit to south Asia to see Indian atrocities and human rights violations.

Talking to newsmen AJK minister Sahibzada Mohammed Ishaq Zaffar appealed to Clinton to visit Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Indian occupied Kashmir, and warned if he does not visit Pakistan it would be a discrimination with a nuclear power of the region.

He believed that if Clinton ignores Pakistan it would also create imbalance and against the US interests in the region which may lead to nuclear war whose responsibility would be rest on US.

He recalled that following Pakistan's inclusion in American bloc Russia opposed Pakistan on Kashmir issue and always used its power of veto against Pakistan .

He said that if Clinton did not visit then Pakistan would be right to shift nuclear technology to the Islamic countries, and a Islamic bloc would be set up in the world in protest against US partiality.
