AAC seeks database of customs officials

ISLAMABAD: The Army Aviation Command (AAC) has asked for a comprehensive database of the officials of the Customs, it was learnt on Friday.

According to a recent circular of the CBR, the AAC has asked it to furnish in detail the residential addresses, telephone numbers of all the officials of the Customs collectorates, and their exact location and jurisdiction.

Following the AAC request, the CBR has given instructions to all its collectorates to formulate the database on top priority basis and communicate it immediately by fax.

The AAC has recently been assigned the task to assist the CBR to curb revenue slippage through strong monitoring.

The CBR has also asked its collectors of Customs, Sales Tax and Central Excise to furnish the region-wise and area-wise nominal rolls of appointments.

The CBR has also directed its collectorates to provide wholehearted assistance to the AAC in checking revenue slippage.
