SBP clarifies
rationing of
prize bonds

KARACHI: The State Bank has clarified that Prize Bonds of all denominations are made available to the commercial banks and National Savings Centres according to their demand.
Due to short supply of these bonds from Pakistan Security Printing Corporation, the State Bank is left with only a limited stock after meeting the requirements of commercial banks and National Saving Centres.
As such rationing has to be done to meet the demand of the maximum members of the public queuing at the State Bank's counters, the chief managers and other officers concerned regularly supervise the working of the counters and closely monitoring the functioning of the staff to ensure efficient and better services to the members of public.
Those unable to obtain the prize bonds from the State Bank counters were advised to approach the chief manager of the branch concerned.
As regards Police Department personnel, their presence in the bank is to ensure the security of the government treasure and they perform overall security duty in the bank and they have nothing is to do with the issue of the prize bonds.
