Hizbul Mujahideen

claims killing

103 Indian troops

in January

SRINAGAR: Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), a militant outfit operating against Indian occupation in Kashmir, has claimed that in 50 attacks on Indian army during January, it has killed 103 Indian soldiers and injured 117. While 33 Mujahideen of the organisation have been martyred during this month.

This was observed by the Hizbul Mujahideen spokesman Kaleem Siddiqui, while talking to newsmen here on Wednesday.

He said Hizbul Mujahideen had disturbed the celebrations of Indian Republic Day by launching a rocket attack on MA Stadium Jammu, where official function was in progress.

He said that Mujahideen ambushed Indian army in Pattan, Mahore, Shakargarh, Baramulla, Sherbagh, Islamabad, Tarigam Islamabad, Dachanpora, Rafiabad Baramulla, Mattan, Bejbehara, Aismuqam Islamabad and killed 15 Indian troops and injured many others. It also damaged three Indian vehicles completely and many other partially.

He said two rocket attacks were launched on Old Airport Budgam and Frisal Kulgam army camp, in which five troops were killed and two barracks were damaged completely. In three mine blasts in Kralachak Pulwama, Zanigam Pattan and Uri bus stand five Indian soldiers died and two vehicles damaged completely, he added.

He said seventeen Indian soldiers were killed in two different attacks in Achabal Islamabad and Kukarnag Islamabad.

In order to break the Indian intelligence network, Hizbul Mujahideen killed 21 Indian agents in different areas of Jammu Kashmir state.

Thirty-one Hizbul Mujahideen embraced martyrdom in different direct attacks on Indian army at different places, while Mujahida, Rehana, was gunned down by BSF at her house in Udhampur. Indian forces tortured to death a renowned Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Kaka Moulvi, on January 29 in Sringar.ÑPPI
