ADBP Multan stops loan issuance

MULTAN: The Agricultre Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) Multan region has wound-up one-window loan scheme owing to lack of funds. This will affect thousands of farmers.

Official source told Business Recorder that all the branch managers were demanding funds for the last 15 days and higher authorities had been informed in this connection but to no avail.

The ADBP had started the one-window system on the instructions of the new government and over Rs 50,000 agriculture loan was to be given at door-step to the farmers. The scheme was stopped in failure of recovery. The farmers have demanded the government to issue funds to compensate the peasantry.
