Sindh Mills to stop cane crushing on 29th

KARACHI: All sugar mills in Sindh will end the current sugarcane crushing operations on February 29, 2000, it was officially announced on Wednesday.

The Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA) Sindh Zone in its last meeting on January 31, 2000, had taken the decision to end of sugarcane crushing in February.

The PSMA had requested to growers to supply their crop within the time-frame fixed for crushing.

The PSMA and Sindh sugar mills had warned the growers that the mills in Sindh would not take any responsibility for any sugarcane left over after the given date.
