PAT undertakes reorganisation in Sindh

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Provincial Secretary General Syed Mushtaq Ali Shah announced here on Sunday that all the party cadres in the province had been dissolved and the party was being re-organised throughout the province up to unit level.

Addressing a news conference he said that cells of the party had been set up at district-level to resolve the day-to-day problems of the people.

He was highly critical of the anti-encroachment drive in Hyderabad and said that it had been launched without proper planning and added that this had created a sense of deprivation among the people as the encroachments of some influentials had not been touched.

He also criticised the performance of the HDA and the HMC and said that the general public was being supplied contaminated water and the city roads and every lane and street in Hyderabad and Latifabad had been converted into cess pools.

He condemned the retrenchment of workers at a massive scale from various public sector organisations and government departments. He said all employees were suffering from a sense of insecurity.

To a query whether or not his party would support the strike call of JSQM on Monday, he said only the GDA could take any decision in this regard.
