Laws to check 'Karo-Kari' soon: Omar

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Labour, Manpower and Local Government Omar Asghar Khan on Sunday said laws to effectively check the social nuisances like "Karo-Kari" (honour killings) are being framed.

"Further killings in the name of Karo-Kari will not be allowed at any cost," he said while addressing national workshop of stakeholder on devolution of power to the grassroots level.

The minister said the matter is being reviewed deeply and laws to check such social aggravation are being framed.

However, he called upon the society to raise voice against this aspect which had been used as a legal weapon to kill someone.ÑAPP
