Chinese commander in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Commander PLA (Air Force) China, Lieut Gen Liu Shunyao, who is heading a six-member delegation reached here from Karachi on Sunday.

On his arrival at Chaklala airbase the delegation was received by Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Parvaiz Mehdi Qureshi, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal M Farooq Qari, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Lu Shulin and senior officers from the Air Headquarters.

Earlier this morning at Karachi, Sen Liu Shunyao visited the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the great leader.

At Mazar-e-Quaid General Liu laid a floral wreath and observed silence to show respect to the Father of the Nation.

Gen Liu is on a five-day official visit to Pakistan. During his stay he will visit the Air Headquarters and various Air Force installations.

He will also call on the Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Abdul Aziz Mirza. APP
