Report on

labour laws

to be made

public soon

KARACHI: Sindh Transport and Labour Secretary Ghulam Sarwar Khero, said on Saturday that the labour commission report on labour laws will be made public soon.

Speaking at a seminar on labour laws, organised by the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he said that the work on this report had almost been completed.

He said that the labour laws were very important to run the affairs of a country and these laws should be simple and easily understandable by every one.

He emphasised the need of resolving all issues between labour and employers amicably.

KATI Chairman Shaikh Manzar Alam, said that the labour inspectors were given to much power which they used to harass the industrialists and get their pockets filled.

He thanked the present labour director and the labour secretary, who had given instruction to labour inspectors that they should visit factories once in a year.
