RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: The Karachi Port handled a total 83,636 tonnes of cargo, including 68,898 tonnes of import and 14,738 tonnes of export, during last 24 hours.

Of the total cargo handled, 35,136 tonnes was dry and 48,500 tonnes liquid cargo.

The ships due to arrive at port on Saturday are: Johar, Ottawa, Kecfan, Song He, Saudi Buraydah, Parvat and Makran.

The ship expected to sail on Saturday is Venus.

Port Qasim

A cargo volume of 17,293 tonnes, exclusively imports, comprising 9,150 tonnes wheat, 5,155 tonnes general cargo and 2,988 tonnes edible oil was handled during last 24 hours.

Princes of Penang and Talana currently discharging 5,488 tonnes edible oil and 23,029 tonnes general cargo were expected to sail on Friday.

Following vessels are currently at the outer anchorage: Agha-I and Silver Yang.

Silver Yang carrying 48,844 tonnes wheat was expected to take berth at multi-purpose terminal of Port Qasim on Friday.
