AJK MLA passes away

Muzaffarbad: The member of AJK Legislative assembly from Neelum Valley, veteran politician and Chairman of Prime Minister's Implementation Commission Mian Ghulam Rasool died of heart failure in AFIC Rawalpindi on Friday morning. He was 61.
He was the founder secretary general of PPP Azad Kashmir and had been elected four times as member AJK legislative assembly from Neelum Valley.
He was also the former minister of Forest, AKLASC, General Construction and Communication.
After his last election on June 30 1996, he had been inducted in the AJK cabinet of Sultan Mehmood Choudhary as Minister for Animal Husbandry.
He was one of the literary figures of AJK as well as a sober and seasoned politician. Rasool was known as best writer of Urdu fiction.
He left behind four daughters and three sons.
His body was brought here on Friday afternoon from Rawalpindi.
His funeral prayer will be held on Saturday at University ground at 11.00 am.
