Faujisoft, Unisys sign MoU on IT solutions

Islamabad: FaujiSoft Limited and Unisys Pakistan have agreed to cooperate in providing Information Technology (IT) solutions.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed at a ceremony held here on Thursday.

The MoU was signed by Chief Executive of Faujisoft Mohammad Afzal and Country General Manager, Unisys Pakistan Ashraf Jafri.

"Fauji Foundation is very pleased at this agreement for co-operation between our software company Faujisoft and a major multinational IT company such as Unisys, and we look forward to providing our joint solutions to the market place", said Brigadier Mohammad Saeed Baig (Retd) after signing the accord.

The visiting Unisys Director, Rodney Fox, said "We are delighted at this MoU with FaujiSoft, and feel it is a significant step forward in the continuing commitment of Unisys Corporation to the Pakistan Market."

Under this MoU Unisys will capitalise on FaujiSoft software solutions, specially in the area of e-commerce and CTI. FaujiSoft will have access to Unisys tested and tried solution in the area of transportation, Government, telecommunication and banking.

Unisys will jointly look into the venues of making investment in Pakistan to further promote the usage of information technology in Government and Transportation sector.

The ceremony was attended by Director Planning & Development Fauji Foundation, Brigadier Mohammad Saeed Baig (Retd) and Regional Director, Unisys Middle East & Pakistan Rodney Fox.
